I still remember even if others don't. What a tragic day that I will never forget particularly as I was around 20 minutes from being on the underground train at Liverpool St that got ripped open like a sardine can.

Ridi - have you tried the britain first site as a better reflection of what you want to read? Perhaps you can bump up your thread re england fans being stopped from wearing what want in France?

My husbands cousin's daughter (2nd cousin?) was on the Aldgate train. Her mother, father and boyfriend spent 3 days searching all the hospitals looking for her. They finally found her but could not recognise her because her face was so black and swollen.

She lost both of her legs above the knee but she was so brave.
Since then she has got married, had a baby and went on to compete in the 2012 Paralympic games.

She is in the news quite a bit with all she has achieved, while I have done nothing at all in 12 years!

I glad we dont make a huge song and dance about it, 9/11 over here is a bit over the top and only stirs up negativity

I was nowhere near any of the explosions and nowhere near central London that day. I was at home drinking tea and reading. I don't know anybody who was killed or had a near miss. I would not normally have been travelling on any of those routes affected.

I do recall it being a bit edgy with regards to anyone with a rucksack for a few months afterwards..

I also recall being on the Piccadilly line exactly at the time of the bomb in the same carriage one week later....makes you think.

Life's a box of chocolates, some of which are cunts.

I'm of an age where a small number of people whose numbers are stored in my phone are no longer with us.

I always feel weird when I see them and feel as if I shouldn't delete them, even though logic suggests I might as well.

I remember, sad day.

I didn't actually know what was going on as i text one of my closest friends early that day, it's her birthday today.
She was near the Tavistock Square attack so i didn't hear back for ages then she rang me in bits!

Sad day and hopefully not repeated.

Rip to all those lost.

I was living in NY at the time, woke up to the news. Someone i worked with in london died en route to work.

Didnt know him well but i was told In the weeks after it was pretty awfull when his desk was empty and none really knew what to do.

His mum came to the office to collect his stuff, all very sad and feels like it was yesterday

I'd put 7/7 on Tony Blair's charge sheet
Another 52 deaths to add to his total

Amazing to think this thread has had so few comments.

This is an example of how Islam and it's horror has been accepted as 'normal' in British society through progessive liberalism. It's what Islam is.

Cannot imagine 9/11 being so overlooked.

I had to take a 30 bus as the tubes had shut. Lucky I hadn't caught the one 5 minutes before as it blew up.

What I remember most was the aftermath - people being so afraid that they wanted to leave London. I really hated that attitude - basically letting the terrorists win. Most of them seemed to be hicks from the sticks though and didn't have any blitz spirit.
